Soups for Cold November Nights

Soup is incredibly soothing on a cold November night, and corn chowder is a perfect way to start your Thanksgiving meal.  Below are two different corn chowder recipes which are equally delightful.  

Sara Foster’s Corn & Roasted Red Pepper Chowder has a rich potato base with a smokey flavor from the roasted peppers, while Oprah’s Corn Chowder is quick, light and can easily made vegetarian or vegan for your meatless eaters.

If corn does not ring your bell, then try Sara Foster’s Jamaican Black Bean Soup.

If soup seems too simple and you want a fancy holiday, then dress it up…You can make soup elegant by serving it as a passed hors d’oeuvre in an espresso cup.
